Summary: Postcard of ten U.S. Navy Curtiss N-9 planes in front of the seaplane hangars 71, 72, and 73 at NAS Pensacola taken January 27, 1917. Each plane has a stylized anchor on the tail which was used to identify navy aircraft until May 1917 when the National Aircraft Insignia was adopted. Men can be seen marching before the planes in uniform. The postcard was addressed to an E. C. Feedler from Vineland, New Jersey and was published by the New York company Albertype, Co.
