The memorandum details how Mr. Greenblat of the Pensacola Maritime Company went to Europe and visited Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and the United Kingdom with the aim of advertising the Texas Company's fuel oil for future sales. It also details the activities of Wm. H. Knowles, President of the Pensacola Maritime Corporation, who went to New York City in October of 1919 and gave a letter of introduction to the Texas Company for one of the Pensacola Maritime Corporation's customers, Hani Shipping Company, of Paris. Mr. Knowles also endeavored to sell oil in New York. This memorandum is written in response to the Texas Company's claim that the Pensacola Maritime Corporation did not attempt to sell oil until seven months after the contract between the two companies was established on July 22, 1919.
