Mrs. Whidby writes that she wants to let women know of the hardships she has suffered. Reports she has been married "about nine years." The first year was happy, then her husband began to beat her and it has continued to get worse and he now sees other women. States he claims he does this because she had not produced a child, but Dr. Ames says it is not a problem with him that has prevented pregancy. He has threatened her life. She wants the Klan to take him out and punish him for the way he treats her. Gives her address on East Right Street, may be 810 E. Wright. She would like to meet with someone and so she can be sure they understand her situation.

Forrest contacted Hilburn's original group in Detroit about his status and received a reply that Hilburn was prone to getting angry and quitting the group, then asking to rejoin. The second time they refused his readmission. Michigan Grand Dragon recommended Hilburn not be allowed to join any Klan.
