Two blimps are visible in the photo, one at the left through the open door of the dirigible hangar and the other on the field towards the center right. Personnel can be seen gathered around the balloon on the field.
Photo of Station Field taken in 1922 which showcases a squadron of approximately 40 Curtiss JN-4HT aircraft parked before the hangars. The back of the photo contains descriptive information on the nature of the subjects and the date the photo was taken. A stamp of credit to the U.S. Navy is also present as well as a stamp that the photo was developed at the NAS Photo Lab. A small archival summary is also presented for additional context.
