Photo taken before May 1917 of Burgess N-9 seaplanes lined up along the pier at NAS Pensacola. Men can be seen wandering the pier and one on the right side of the photo is riding a bicycle. The closest plane to the camera, on the right, has a stylized anchor logo on its tail. Various means of transportation are visible in the photo from steam ships on the water, to the seaplane, to a horse drawn carriage in the middle right next to plan 776, and a chassis of a carriage being worked on in the lower right. Photo of Station Field taken in 1922 which showcases a squadron of approximately 40 Curtiss JN-4HT aircraft parked before the hangars. The back of the photo contains descriptive information on the nature of the subjects and the date the photo was taken. A stamp of credit to the U.S. Navy is also present as well as a stamp that the photo was developed at the NAS Photo Lab. A small archival summary is also presented for additional context.

Photo taken circa 1922 of the balloon landing field at NAS Pensacola looking southwest. This photo was taken before land-based aircraft training was added to the base. Two blimps are visible in the photo, one at the left through the open door of the dirigible hangar and the other on the field towards the center right. Personnel can be seen gathered around the balloon on the field.
