A Convair R4Y sits in the left of the photo while a Navy band plays in the background on the right. Men work to remove luggage from the plane and were seemingly caught by surprise in the photo. The back of the photo holds a stamp of credit to the U.S. Navy, descriptive information of the two men, and an archival summary. The summary credits the photo to around 1961 while in pencil is a date of 1964.
