Summary: Photo of Navy photographer Walter Leroy Richardson, left, and Lt. Earle F. Johnson, right, in a Curtiss seaplane at the Naval Aeronautic Station Pensacola, December 1915. The pair performed the first recorded aerial photography mission. The back of one photo holds descriptive text written in pencil as well as an archival summary. A duplicate photo was omitted due to redundancy of the front image but the back was retained here which provides a biography of Richardson as well as an official Navy credit stamp.
