Summary: Aerial photo of NAS Pensacola looking southeast taken in 1917. Personnel can be seen wandering the sidewalks of the base and several cars are parked besides Building 2 in the lower right corner. More can be seen parked between the power plant and sheet metal shop. The building at the center of the photo with the chimney is Building 47, the power plant. The long white building beside that is Building 1, the jointer & paint shop. The white building with the arched doors just below the power plant is Building 29, the sheet metal shop. To the right of that, the long single story building is Building 2, the hydrogen plant and garage. At the lower left corner is building 38, the machine shop. On the back of the photo is a sticker detailing the name LTCol. G Johnson USMC (Ret) and a partial stamp.
