Aerial photo of the Officer's Quarters along North avenue at NAS Pensacola taken in April 1916, likely from a balloon. The date of the photo appears etched in white in the upper left corner. North avenue runs diagonally across the bottom left corner of the photo. The west and north walls of the Navy Yard are visible towards the center of the photo. Just beyond them are a church, the village of Woolsey, and other buildings. The guard shack, tower, and pedestrian gate are on the western end of the north wall. The Commandant's Quarters, including gardens and stables, are visible in the bottom middle of the photo. |
