Aerial photo of NAS Pensacola as it appeared in 1916-1917 after the metal hangars 71, 72, and 73 were built to the west of Center Wharf. Tied at Allegheny PIer is the armored cruiser North Carolina (ACR 12), the station ship, which arrived in September 1915. The back of the photo contains a date range for the image as well as information relating the image to a personal collection of one Vice Admiral Gerald F. Bogan. |
