Letter to W.A. Hamlett from T.T. Wentworth, Jr., August 16, 1927

- The letter is written on letterhead for T. T. Wentworth, Jr., Hardware, Tools, and Cutlery. Addressed to Dr. W. A. Hamlet (sic) and dated August 16, 1927. Wentworth states he has enclosed a check for $2.00 for 40 copies of the August issue of the Kourier Magazines (actual wording is "Fonty Kourier Magazines." It is believed this should be Forty). Wentworth states that "Having a mighty hard fight down here. The Catholics have a boycott on my business, and you know how the Protestants are here. Many intermarried with Catholic and other ties that the Catholics have entwined about them." He continues and says most of the local ministers will not work with the Klan.
