Wentworth, Jr. Letter states membership in the Klan is waning, and Varnum is calling for a meeting of "your Terrors" and asking for at least 500 people to attend. Also, stated that copies of the SUMMONS OF THE FIERY CROSS can be ordered from the office of the Grand Dragon, and these can be used to inspire membership. The letter is written on stationery from C.R. Melvin, County Judge, Vernon, Florida.

Wentworth states that all is well and that he has not heard of any "counter moves on the part of those who are using their efforts to disenthrall justice." He also reports that the "boys seem to be taking more interest in the work" and that "chances for success in the next primaries are more certain than in any election in the past."

Wentworth, Jr. The letter tells Roberts that his membership card is enclosed. He is paid to March 31, 1927, instead of December 31, 1926, giving him an extra quarter. The letter also asks Roberts to urge any of the men who were not up to date on their dues to pay at least $4.00 to have them up to date through December.

Wentworth states he has enclosed a check for $2.00 for 40 copies of the August issue of the Kourier Magazines (actual wording is "Fonty Kourier Magazines." It is believed this should be Forty). Wentworth states that "Having a mighty hard fight down here. The Catholics have a boycott on my business, and you know how the Protestants are here....
