Aerial photo of Melinda's Ditch taken sometime between 1916 and 1917. The name refers to the stream in the bottom center of the photo which was named after a woman who owned a brothel on a hill overlooking Woolsey and the bay. The house stood where a riding corral rests in the center of the photo. A sandy walking path is visible leading from the corral to the stream. On the back of the photo is an archival summary in type which provides the context for the name of the stream.

Aerial photo of NAS Pensacola as it appeared in 1916-1917 after the metal hangars 71, 72, and 73 were built to the west of Center Wharf. Tied at Allegheny PIer is the armored cruiser North Carolina (ACR 12), the station ship, which arrived in September 1915. The back of the photo contains a date range for the image as well as information relating the image to a personal collection of one Vice Admiral Gerald F. Bogan.

The back of the postcard contains the address to Rox Photo Shop, unknown if this was the photographer or simply printed the post card. The back also contains an archival summary detailing that the name "Solo Coffin" was given to the crash boat due to its nature as a rescue vessel in the case of pilot crashes on the bay.
