Letter dated November 26, 1926, from J. H. Varnum. Letter addressed to T. T. Wentworth, Jr. Letter states membership in the Klan is waning, and Varnum is calling for a meeting of "your Terrors" and asking for at least 500 people to attend. Also, stated that copies of the SUMMONS OF THE FIERY CROSS can be ordered from the office of the Grand Dragon, and these can be used to inspire membership. The letter is written on stationery from C.R. Melvin, County Judge, Vernon, Florida.

Typed, carbon copy, letter on letterhead for T. T. Wentworth Jr. Hardware, Tools and Cutlery, dated October 24, 1926. The letter is addressed to Prof. J. H. Varnum. Wentworth states that all is well and that he has not heard of any "counter moves on the part of those who are using their efforts to disenthrall justice." He also reports that the "boys seem to be taking more interest in the work" and that "chances for success in the next primaries are more certain than in any election in the past."

Undated, handwritten, on unlined note paper. Salutation is "Dear Bill," and signed J. W. Sapp. Sapp is away from home and may stay away a couple of months "as I want to get back in the same shape as I was before I ever drank any." Then asks Bill to "see Varnum and T. T. and get that thing fixed up for me. T. T. already has the money." Sapp also states he will never drink again. Asks that his membership card be mailed to him at the Milwaukee Sanitarium, Wauwatosa Wis.

Typed letter from I. E. Phillips, Grand Dragon, to Exalted Cyclops of Pensacola, dated November 12, 1926. Phillips is replying to a letter from Wentworth dated October 3rd. Phillips is pleased that things are going well in Pensacola. He states he knows the Pensacola group needs "some new life," and he is going to have Varnum come over and "give you people the time that is required to put you on your feet." He says he would like for Pensacola to have 1,000- 1,500 members within the next 2 years.
