The letter states that Hilburn withdrew his Klan membership in Detroit, Michigan; he now lives in Pensacola and wants to pay his back dues and join the local group. Carbon copy of the letter on plain paper has darkened with age due to acid in the paper. Dated July 28, 1925, and addressed to Rev. B. S. Ellisor, this letter appears to be an answer to the letter with accession number 2016.035.0302. Wentworth gives the name and address of the Grand Dragon and tells Ellisor that Wentworth is the Exalted Cyclops of the local group. He talks about Ellisor giving talks to groups and telling the Grand Dragon that Wentworth suggested Ellisor write to him.

Wentworth states that all is well and that he has not heard of any "counter moves on the part of those who are using their efforts to disenthrall justice." He also reports that the "boys seem to be taking more interest in the work" and that "chances for success in the next primaries are more certain than in any election in the past."
