Typed carbon copy of a letter on T.T. Wentworth, Jr., Federal Bicycle Tires letterhead, dated May 25, 1927, to Rev. I.E. Phillips. The letter is not signed. The letter relates the elections went well. Wentworth reports that he did accept the nomination to remain Exalted Cyclops and was re-elected. R.C. The letter relates the elections went well. Wentworth reports that he did accept the nomination to remain Exalted Cyclops and was re-elected. R.C. Klansman Macon was defeated, which may be well since he is overworked: clerk for L&N Railroad, bookkeeper for Dr. W.D. Nobles, and sells sewing machines. Copies of election forms enclosed, please ratify and return so installation can take place as planned. Members went to Bainbridge. One care in accident and Klansman A.B. Fillinghim, one of the best members, died. The funeral to be on May 26. Wentworth's daughter was born May 25. Please send 500 copies of the pamphlet "The Ku Klux Klan Presents Its views of Marriage." Please send price for new Exalted Cyclops Robe or Klan Giants Robe with a satin finish will lend dignity to the office. "We are winning out ever day."

Undated, handwritten, on lined notepaper. This appears to be a rough draft for a letter to Gov. John W. Martin. The letter asks Gov. Martin to remove Dan A. Nee, Escambia County Coroner and Justice of the Peace, from office on charges of malfeasance, misfeasance, and incompetence. 4 examples are presented. 1. Nee interfered with the grand jury 2. Sailor was killed at Bruce Dry Dock. Chief of Police O'Connor decided the man was murdered, but Nee did not call a coroner's jury and entered the...

On July 29, 1927, Nee went to the Viola Edwards Hospital, where Dorothy Fredrickson and her newborn infant had died. The writer believes Fredrickson was murdered or died during an abortion. But Nee entered the cause of death as mitral insufficiency. 4. Typed letter from I. E. Phillips, Grand Dragon, to Exalted Cyclops of Pensacola, dated November 12, 1926. Phillips is replying to a letter from Wentworth dated October 3rd. Phillips is pleased that things are going well in Pensacola. He states he knows the Pensacola group needs "some new life," and he is going to have Varnum come over and "give you people the time that is required to put you on your feet." He says he would like for Pensacola to have 1,000- 1,500 members within the next 2 years.

Tugwell, and P.H. Schrieber. On the last page, Wentworth lists the new Klan officers' names and positions he would like to be appointed by Phillips.
