Photo of James V. Rockwell's funeral procession in Pensacola taken May 25, 1916. A streetcar can be seen in the center of the photo and a church can be seen in the distance. Cars and horse drawn carts can be seen in the lower left of the photo alongside pedestrian onlookers. The back of the photo contains information on the original owner of the photo, one Jeanette B. Rutty(?) of Warrington, and the date of death of James V. Rockwell.

Photos taken May 27, 1916 during the funeral of US Navy Civil Engineer LCDR James Vincent Rockwell who was killed in an aircraft crash on May 24, 1916. In the first photo, the procession is marching west on Garden street into the intersection with Palafox as can be seen in the bottom left photo where the street sign is present. In the first photo, the procession is marching west on Garden street into the intersection with Palafox as can be seen in the bottom left photo where the street sign is present. The second photo shows the procession in front of the Isis theater on Garden Street. A horse drawn caisson can be seen in the center of the photo in front of the officer's column. Street car tracks are also visible in both photos with a street car visible clearly visible in the bottom of the second photo. The crowd of onlookers is made up of at least white and black citizens. Various modes of transportation are also visible in the side streets such as cars, horses and carts, and bicycles.

Aerial photo of Melinda's Ditch taken sometime between 1916 and 1917. The name refers to the stream in the bottom center of the photo which was named after a woman who owned a brothel on a hill overlooking Woolsey and the bay. The house stood where a riding corral rests in the center of the photo. A sandy walking path is visible leading from the corral to the stream. On the back of the photo is an archival summary in type which provides the context for the name of the stream.
