Mrs. Milton writes that she is on vacation but feels that she needs to "come own and do some promotion work" and would like to come in September. She states, "This is a dirty of Klan people in Jax. . . . and the President, Mrs. Trainham, fights anything that looks like a Catholic. Bradley is using her for a tool." (No first name given for Bradley). Milton states the Grand Secretary and Treasurer, Mrs. Statzer (?), wants Milton to run for an unnamed office. She says that religion will be an issue, but the eastern delegates are nearly all Catholic. "And I think by that time, the Klan will be dead or at least on its last legs." Milton urges Whipple to call Mrs. Helen Pou if she goes to Tampa. She also writes, "I will be only too glad to help Pensacola go forward."
