It states that the Catholic Church must be stopped through "Political Unity--of those people who see the menace to save the country." The letter states, "You are looked upon as a man on the right side; therefore you are invited to become affiliated (sic) with the Political Unity League" and assures the reader that "it is absolutely (sic) safe for you to be identified with this work for safeguards have been completely thrown around any possibility of your name becoming public as a member or worker." It continues by stating that "Much work must be done before the 1928 election" and that they do not want anything mailed out to fall into the wrong hands. The reverse has a handwritten list of names: J. A. Pfeiffer; Robert Hood, shops; M. Hannah, drug store; Leo Resmundo, L&N shop; Dr. Brunson, W. Bel.; Jim Godwin; C. H. Charles; Lula Nicholson, 1122 E. Gadsden (?); William Henderson, L&N shop
