The letter states that Mr. Simon Pursley died today (March 3, 1927) and will be at Pou's Parlors. Mr. Pursley was Russellville, Kentucky, had been a member of the Klan for years, his wife is a member, also. Mrs. Pursley wanted to know if some members of the local Klan would sit with the body that night.
